Theres some magic cooking up at Salomon. The riders have been pushing for a new project and the Depart 1.0 is the first iteration of Salomons return to the freestyle game. It's shocking to think the brand that brought the first twin tip, the venerable 1080, has been out of the freestyle market for a number of years.
The Depart is a wild shape when it comes to Freestyle skis. It's a wide body, short radius directional twin that is incredibly swerve oriented. Watching the athletes get around on this over the past couple of years of development has shown how well this ski rips around between features.
These skis are a limited release with only a couple hundred around the world so get in fast if you like the sound of them.
